About Me
Hi, I’m Babak, a Data Scientist based in Milan, Italy. I’m passionate about transforming complex data into practical insights and intelligent tools. My background blends computer engineering and data science, and I enjoy working at the intersection of machine learning, automation, and applied AI.
During my internship at KNIME in Germany, I developed Generative AI and Agentic AI workflows, created interactive data apps, and automated analytics pipelines. Alongside that, I’ve led independent projects on entity linking, abstractive summarization, and social media opinion mining to explore how AI models can better understand language and meaning.
I’m driven by curiosity and creativity—whether it’s experimenting with model architectures, designing efficient ETL pipelines, or improving AI explainability. I value collaboration and enjoy working with teams that combine innovation with critical thinking.
Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, hiking, and reading classic literature, which keep me balanced and inspired.
